HRG's Officers and Directors

President  Marjorie Ewbank has been a World Federalist since 1942 when she and John joined the World Federalists, then headed by Tom Griesmer with offices in New York City and the Netherlands. For many years they were active working for the formation of a "Constitution for the Federation of Earth," an initiative headed by Philip Isley of the World Constitution and Parliament Association. To further this initiative they attended meetings in many parts of the world. During the 1990's Marjorie was President of the American Movement for World Government, which published World Government News edited by Tom Liggett. She is a member of Abington Friends Meeting of the Religious Societty of Friends. She is also Clerk (Chairperson) of the Quakerism Committee at Pennswood Village where she now resides.

Treasurer  Walter Singer served on Abington Meeting's Worship and Ministry and Finance committees and currently is a member of its Care of Members committee. He also served on the Financial Stewardship committee of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting and recently attended Earlham College working toward a Masters in Divinity. Walter is an avid amateur musician, specializing in the viola and presiding over a remarkably musical family. Trained as a CPA, he is currently the CFO of the Won Institute of Graduate Studies in Glenside PA, the latest stop in a financial management career spanning more than 20 years.

Secretary  Daniel Turner is active on committees and working groups of Abington Monthly, Abington Quarterly, and Philadelphia Yearly meetings. For about 10 years he was the newsletter editor for the Philadelphia chapter of the World Federalists. He manages this website and Abington Quarter's site, and for many years was the web technician for Abington Monthly Meeting's site. He is the author of Twillinger's Voyage, a Quaker science fiction novel which was a favorite of HRG's founder, John Ewbank, whose review of Twillinger's is on this site. Dan's latest Quaker themed novel is "Friendly Invasion." He is retired from a career in software, computer services, and economic consulting.
